The original suggestion was they want to break away to create a bus league. Regardless of why they would want, you take their $70 million in exit fees and figure it out. I dont see anything like that happening until the whole deal would be realigned regionally. I also think IF they would try that, georgia southern and georgia state would stay to form a regional conference with us. Georgia Southern could still play app state OOC every year as a rivalry.

we didnt, they left to be an independent.
Not going to be surprised one bit, that when all the shuffling happens, we're still gonna end up in the SunBelt with the dregs of the conference. Where all the proactive schools moved on to greener pastures, while we're stuck in CUSA 3.0
I seem to recall UTPA and Denver leaving at the same time.
Denver was because they didn't sponsor enough sports
