Nelson Earns All-American Honors in Eugene

Two-time Sun Belt Conference Champion Jeremy Nelson placed 15th overall, becoming the first Cajun to earn the honors in the event since 2004

Jeremy Nelson earned Second Team All-American honors in the triple jump at the NCAA National Championships on Friday in Eugene, Oregon.

The junior placed 15th overall after completing a second jump of 50-8.75/15.46 for his best of the night. Nelson becomes the program's first All-American in the outdoor men's triple jump since Lawrence Willis did so in 2003 and 2004.
