We recruit east Texas. We are going to play an FCS, what does it really matter? Some of you think that every school we call just has blank schedules on our open weeks?
Maybe they offered to bring extra water
Seems everyone else has their name changes go thru so easily
Looking at this type of scheduling two ways. First reaction is ho hum, wish we'd play fewer FCS teams. Second thought is playing this game improves chances of potential undefeated season to have chance at CFP berth. We need to improve strength of schedule to leapfrog the other leading G6's. Winning out with a SBC schedule + FCS sounds nice but might leave us short of being highest ranked G6 champ goal. Every season is different.
and if we had an opening on a certain date and need an fcs home game, the in state schools arent open.. then what? the rest of our ooc for september of 2027 are already set. Mcneese, SLU and NWST arent available so that leaves grambling or southern who may already be in contract talks for sept 11th. We already play lamar in 2026.
