This sums up my feelings from the start. Gerry and Texas Tech were a store bought, Fake team. Just think what we could have done with Sam and the girls that left.
Amen
Guys, I’m definitely not the president of the Gerry Glasco fan club, but his team was the national champion runner up. This take ain’t it.
When you ride only one pitcher you put a crack in the door for the opponent to bust it wide open, and thats exactly what happened.
Louisiana experienced this with Ashley Brignac.
Geaux Cajuns
Sorry you feel that way, but I owe nothing to Glasco or the former athletes that played here. They made business decisions; there is no loyalty once they put on the uniform of another program (business). Glasco's departure could have been handled in a better manner, and the results were catastrophic to the Ragin' Cajun program. Because he happens to be a former coach doesn't mean I should cheer them on with ridiculous chants for support of former Ragin' Cajun players. Best of luck to all of them, but I get no joy out of cheering for a group of people that made the decision to leave this program on their own recourse.
Best runner-up team money can buy! A team with no history in softball. They started selling season tickets for the first time this season! So they had no following to speak of and old Coach Narcissist finds a place with NIL money and buys the player of the year. He must be so damn proud of himself, right? And he's still making bonehead mistakes.
Agree. No one here owes him or the players who left any loyalty, but being National runner up with a program that’s never even been to a Super Regional ain’t a failure.
And the dude came to our program under a ____ circumstance that he had nothing to do with, and he did his best to keep our program winning, with seemingly a third of a fanbase rooting against him merely because of who he replaced. Remember, THAT coach tried to burn down the program on his way out.
Calling Glasco and the five girls who left failures because they lost in Game 3 of the WCWS Final is a crap take. There, I said it, and this will be all the time I spend on that article.
I hope our program can get back on track under Coach Habetz, but she’s got one hell of an uphill battle ahead of her in this new era of college sports.
