Question, how many of the names coming out didn't handle business in the classroom this last semester? A number of these kids were sat during the last weekend series of the season.

I seem to recal Deggs saying that none of the ones sitting (during the last weekend series) were due to grades or academics.

I would assume that means that Jose is coming back and Pourciau did not want to wait.

One of the announcers during the belt tourney mentioned that Deggs told him Jose' would be back next year.

I'm not asking why, but how many of them didn't take care of business in the classroom, which is their responsibility. There are some things the coaches can't be blamed for, taking care of assignments and finals is the athletes.

Just a guess on my part, but he’s probably stuck behind all the freshman. Also didn’t hit much. Might have been told to enter the portal.

I know he struggled at the plate, but he's young and was highly recruited out of high school. Just thought he'd have hung around for a season of summer/fall ball to see if more progress could be made.

For those that wanted massive roster change, that’s now 4 of the position player starters from the last game of the season that are entering the portal. And 3 of the pitchers that threw in the game.

Agree. To take it a step further by my count of the current roster posted online, season stats(7 were removed from current roster), and what has been shared post season by RR, Cajuns are up to 20 guys who will not be on the roster moving forward(who still have at least a year left). Yes that includes Theut and McGehee both done and moving on from baseball. Higgs would be 21. Tores and Herrmann are still TBD but rumored to be returning. Last guy turn the lights out.
