I agree. Everyone is upset but it was a bad watch this year. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Maybe there were some good players but the way deggs coaches there needs to be buy in. The buy in was down this year. You could see it on the field
Coach Deggs said from the beginning of the season, even at Diamond Club meetings that he made a decision to go young with 24 underclassmen this past season. He took a chance, and it didn't payoff. Injuries certainly played a role, but he needs to self-correct in managing his roster. We haven't experienced this much transition in the program in recent years, so it's a bit unnerving.
My philosophy is simple, fix it! It starts with him as the face of the program. I don't care about the details on how he will move forward, I care about the results.
Yep. And as mentioned on footes article he said veteran pitchers and veteran “thumpers”. That’s what we were missing all year right? I don’t think running it back with mostly the same team would have put us in a much better spot than we are right now. Major roster changes needed to be made
I just hope Coach Deggs can adapt and modernize his coaching philosophy based on the current landscape. It’s recruiting for the here and now. Loyalty lies in the season.
