Because I asked a question, is that a problem for you? Just FYI, I've been a member of this fan site long before your appearance in 2014. I also covered UL softball on my dime and money. In general, I'm not a major diehard as others but I do respect the program and its history. If you have a problem with Coach Habetz, reach out and ask her.

Here is the latest I have heard on coaches. Take it for what it is worth:

Everything points back to the hiring freeze.

New Softball Hitting Coach is not getting paid, as of now.
New Basketball Coaches are being paid by someone else, not the University.
The University hasn't officially announced the two new baseball coaches.
    Women's basketball impacted as well.

Very difficult to get someone from UL to go on the record.

Sounds like a very difficult situation that the athletic department and head coaches have to navigate, at the moment.

Yeah but isn’t it easier to be uninformed, rip the coaches and threaten to stop supporting the program if things aren’t happening how you want them to???

I am not trying to get into a debate with you if this is correct or not. I have heard bits and pieces about this. Not sure what is true or not. I will say this because I have questions and things just don't add up. How can the basketball coaches work on university property in a coaching instructional capacity and not be paid, however they are listed on the athletic website as coaches vs the other sports coaches that aren't listed on the website? Something doesn't add up. Also if their is a state hiring "summer freeze" like some folks have mentioned then how does someone like Taylor Pleasants get hired at TSAB, get promoted all over social media about the new position and still be listed on the school's athletic website? That chick isn't working for free. I am just asking questions not say you are wrong or right.

I have heard Aly is going for the "big fish" "splash hire" hopefully she has a plan B if that doesn't work out.

I texted Foote this morning about this his reply was almost identical:

“Biggest problem is university hiring freeze—don’t understand all of it. Hitting coach that was hired isn’t getting paid—hard to hire in that situation. Supposedly ended Aug 1—impacting multiple sports”

For what it’s worth, I texted Foote this morning, and his reply was almost verbatim….

If that is true then Aug 1st has passed. What's the new excuse? You do know that Foote also makes post on this site and he is a reporter for what it's worth. Those guys like to run with anything they hear true or not true.

70% of Bob Marlin’s paycheck was privately funded and funneled through RCAF. It’s exactly the same thing with staff members on Q’s staff.
