Any word on pitching and hitting coaches?
@jmv Are you Emma’s dad? You seem to pump her a lot.
Let me tell you some things you may not realize. That vote for “hardest worker” was done by senior classmates. Everyone had to win an award. Out of the two signees in the 2025 class, one was voted most likely to become a professional athlete. Hardest worker could mean hardest worker in school, with activities, etc.
High school stats mean nothing. It’s been stated multiple times on here. Yeah, she’s good in high school. But what about in travel ball? She plays on a weak team, she doesn’t stand out on that team and isn’t a slam dunk of a player. Is she good? Yes. But not what you keep making her out to be. She has potential and will do great at Creighton.
Have faith in the coaching staff. Glasco passed on her and Habetz has. There has to be a reason. Right now, let’s celebrate the girls we have.
Should we start a counter?
___ days without a pitching coach.
I am not Emma's dad. I understand high school stats doesn't hold much weight, but Emma has produced at the high school and travel level in my opinion. I also felt like that she could contribute to this team and community. I am not that high on the 2025 incoming class as a group. I hope I am wrong on that. Only time will tell. UL has a walk on outfielder who is starting most of the time. That's why I believe Emma could play at UL. They have similar skill sets. Just my opinion which doesn't matter.
As someone that’s watched her play HS and travel ball, she’s the real deal. A Kayla Falterman type player is the best way to describe her. She does everything well and it’s easy to see the intangibles she has as a ball player. I’m sure she will be very successful at Creighton.
Fair enough. I have been reading these messages for quite some time now and I just always see you talking about how we missed out on her. How you think she's the toughest out in the state. The best player this past year at STM and you seem to always bring up her STM stats. Not knocking the kid. She's good but there are many that I believe are better who wanted to come to UL and weren't given the opportunity. Therefore, I believe and trust that there is a reason she was passed over by Glasco and now the new coaching staff.
I don't know much about the 2025 class but what little I do know, 4 of the 6 are playing high level travel ball this summer and doing well in those top tournaments. I don't know why you aren't very high on this class but I think they will be okay from what little I've seen with my own eyes and heard from talking to people.
I just suggest that all of us get behind this next team. 4 of the 6 incoming 2025 are Louisiana girls. That will put this team at 12 Louisiana girls, if my math is correct. 2 transfer portal, 4 incoming class, 6 current roster. I believe they will be playing for something and it isn't just about them. It's about the pride and the name of Cajuns across their chest. If the girls do that, they will be just fine.
