Our pitching staff is dependent on 2 girls that did not throw a pitch last year due to injuries and we lost our best one in the portal who did not want to leave. It’s a hard pill to swallow
Share is a million on top of what they already have. Please explain. We should be better in the coaching box as Alyson now has a year under her belt in the third base box and Lacey has another year experience.

    14 players return
    6 freshman coming in
    3 transfers coming in
    23 total players

Only have room for one or two more players.

Can teams carry practice players/redshirts that are not on the roster.
I read that it was either cusa or aac last year in baseball they had to declare the roster each series, so they had members of team on roster sometimes and off at others, i.e. more players than the roster

That's funny! I'm pretty sure that's how coach Aly made the team back in the day.

We have added 3 transfers so far. All were highly recruited out of high school, but none have made significant contributions to their team in previous D1 stops, and only Kennedy Marceaux had good numbers in limited playing time.

This is a huge gamble by our coaching staff; if ALL of these players, plus Lillian Soto, Lily Knox, Sage Hoover, Lexie Delbrey, Mia Norwood and one or two incoming freshmen play up to their potential, we could possibly be very good, assuming that our other returning players perform at least as well as they did last year.

That is a whole lot of things that have to happen. Also, we are only a month out from fall ball practice and still have no pitching coach and no hitting coach.

Several weeks ago, I graded this offseason as C- or D. At this point, that grade has slipped to D- or F. Of course the proof is in the pudding, as the offseason can only be accurately evaluated at the end of next season. I fervently hope that I am proven wrong in my assessment.

In my opinion a very disappointing off season as we stand. In your scenario everybody would basically have to step up and stay injury free thats hard to do over the course of a season.

Deggs and Coach Q didn't play around. The Cajuns need every coach in every sport to be a RELENTLESS RECRUITER!
