The problem is we haven't hired a coach yet.

You’re on a roll. Right about everything so far this offseason from coaches being let go to players transferring in or out.

Are there any rumors concerning new coaches?

Louisiana State Law requires the position to be posted. Coach Habetz can unofficially have a candidate of her choice in mind, and maybe talk with Wheeler but it would not be official until the hire is approved.

This is true for every sport including football. My question would be does she not want to finish what she started here with her teammates? She wasn't a bench player, but a starter. It's a question I've asked others in the past. If the answer is no, then she probably needs to leave anyway.

Right. At least it wasn't an "it's God's plan" or "I'll always love Lafayette and the Cajuns" farewell letter.

If she ends up where some are speculating, it's most likely $$ and poaching. Which really sucks. She is talented and would have had a good future here. Get your money up front and hopefully they don't burry her in the roster.

Its 100% nothing to do with money. She just signed a one year lease on an apartment last week. Her heart is in Lafayette and she has had a hard time with this. Not having a coach hired or in mind is concerning to me. Also there is some scheduling concerns. I know the whole story.
