Maybe Aly can just go to www.powerhitter.com and snatch up the 3-5 power hitters that I see many posters referencing in their posts.

By effective I mean driving in runs. The only metric that really matters offensively is how many runs [runs scored+rbi-HR] does a hitter produce relative to their plate appearances. Let's call that RPA or run production average. This season only Emily Smith [.356 RPA] and Cecilia Vasquez [.338 RPA] were over .300. No one else was over .261.
Compare that to ULM. The Warhawks had 7 players at .300 or better RPA, and the Brown girls, Morgan and Meagan were at .460 and .502, respectively. Of the 7 over .300 RPA, 6 had 4 or fewer HR, and 3 had no HR. It's not just about power, it's about effective, timely hitting.
Would probably cost too much to move the fences in i suppose.
For the record I also have a problem with slappers, I just don't like 4 or 5 in a lineup. Still can't see how Emma Bailey from STM is not a direct replacement for Kayla. They play the same type of game. Emma career stats are .515 career BA ,94 SB, 207 hits, 159 runs in
119 games played. I have been told by numerous head coaches of travel team and high school that Emma is the toughest out in the state. This is a kid 10 mins down the road. She also won the hardest worker award for the whole STM athletic department. That is a great honor with the type of athletes they have.
