If you bring them in as close to portal window closing as possible, or even dont announce until after, wouldnt that prevent the incoming move to lead to another leaving via portal

We can't afford to wait that long. We need players signed and on board ASAP..

Is there a way to sign and delay announcement?

Not really. It will leak. In any event, you want those who might leave to leave ASAP. Gives you more time to replace them with better players.

The second player from UL to hit the portal has been announced. Chayne Allen. Some folks thought no player was leaving.

So a freshman player that never played at all this season is gone. I know she looked like a pretty good player on paper, but did she not play because of injury or because he was not talented enough to play her way onto this roster?

I don't think any believed that no one was going to transfer out this season, the question was who would it be. I hate that we lose anyone, specifically a starter like Liscano. But I think both are replicable.

Both kids that have entered the portal were true freshman that did not play because of injuries.
