His 2 daughters have never been known for having all that good of a stick. If putting this on a grade scale, this hire would be a D at best in my opinion.
Do your research both of them had very good bats.

Too many months of nothing happening and threats of pulling support being made due to inaction.

This is Breaking News and deserves its own space

Seems to me any person Ally would have hired wouldn’t have pleased you.Im sure this guy has tons of hitting knowledge that a kid right out of college would not have.Give him a chance before criticizing his coaching abilities.

His daughter, Maddie, was the 2014 SEC Player of the Year. She actually had an outstanding stick.

Why not look at Lyke Motief as hitting coach? Mustached fellow with black spectacles. I hear he has a pretty good hitting coach resume. In the spirit of letting bygones be bygones and inviting Tech to the SBC.

I don't think this is a "let down" hire. I know Bill pretty well. He is very analytical. He started off coaching travel ball like Glasco. He always had a desire to coach at the collegiate level but lacked the required college degree to do so. When I first met him, he was working on his undergraduate degree and then got his masters in statistics I believe. He and I have discussed hitting philosophies and I know that he is a believer that preperation is the key to being a successful hitter. Meaning that you study what type of pitcher you will be facing and you prepare for her strengths and weaknesses. I have no doubt he will hit the ground running when he gets here. If you looks at Western Michigan's stats for the time he was there, the team improved in every pertinent catergory.
