Park the spring sports in the BIG 12.

I mean, we are dreaming right?

There could very well end up being 3 Tiers. We will not be in Tier 1. Need to make certain we are in Tier 2 with the top Group 6 teams and not in a Tier 3, if that happens.

We will be in Tier 2 for sure. Tier 3 will be FCS and low budget FBS schools that cut sports to try and keep their athletic department open.

Tier 1 will likely be only 40 schools, possibly 48, but almost certainly no more than that. That leaves anywhere from 19-27 schools that are currently P-4 out of Tier 1.

Tier 2 might include 60 schools; the 23 [assuming 44 in Tier 1] Tier 1 rejects plus 37 more from current G-6 conferences.

Tier 3 is everybody else in G-6 plus all of FCS.

You seem certain that we are among the 37 chosen for Tier 2. I am not so sure.

For decades, we have put out a sign in our front yard that says, "Don't ask".

We need to take that sign down. Because, when this shake up occurs, they just might do what that sign says.

I don’t think there’s any question Louisiana will be Tier 2 in this situation. With or without a PAC invite too.

    Good breakdown....

They always mention budgets and markets. How many of those tier 1 potential fallen angels still have the tier 1 or even tier 2 budget when the p4 conf trough is taken away?
And many in p4 never had the market required to "move up" that it now takes. So could some tier 1s drop to tier 3
