If coaches dont have to recruit and can use NIL agents, could administrations delegate conference realignment discussions to some sort of agent, alumni fan agents?
Several of us made that suggestion and were shot down by posters. Too bad. We could have made a lot more than the $2M the SBC is paying each school, we would have had much better schedules and fan support, and we would be in a better position for a P5 invite as you suggested.
From a PAC affiliated account on X....

I'll take it.
We might safely avoid 10 am or 11 am home games that way!!!! Dont think the other team would agree to breakfast burrito games for their fans
CBS Sports & PAC 12 announced today CBS will be the conference's primary long-term media rights partner with a deal going through the 2030-21 season. Financial details were not disclosed but are projected by insiders worth at least $7 MM per school to start.
Typo: through the 2030-31 season!
Idk if I see Tulane and Memphis leaving the AAC for $7 million.
I can see Texas State moving on even if future SBC deal is projected closer to $4-5m from current $2m, because their president is so giddy about it.
Is there an ncaa rule that mandates how many days on campus vs away for road games? I could see a scenario where it may be cheaper just to camp out at a training facility and hotel out west in between road games. Obviously not ideal if they miss too much class, but probably nobody cares about class anymore.... may even be an opportunity for players to meet more NIL brokers since probably way more agents and commerical deals available on the west coast
