Thread: PAC 12

Texas State for the PAC is that pig in a blanket at 2 AM closing time. Everyone left worth a flip turned the PAC down.

The PAC will likely be viewed as stronger than any other G6 league other than the current AAC. If Memphis, Tulane, UTSA, and USF end up joining the PAC, the AAC's competitive and perceived strength will take a serious hit. In that scenario, the PAC champion would almost certainly get the playoff bid especially with the media leaning into the "strength of schedule" narrative.

A 13-0 SBC champion (UL or anyone else) probably won't be ranked ahead of an 11-2 or 12-1 PAC champion. Realistically, the playoff window narrows dramatically unless the AAC stays intact. If it does, the G6 bid likely comes down to either the PAC or AAC champion.

If UL ever wants a real shot at making the College Football Playoff, it won’t happen as a Sun Belt program, and that’s exactly why all of this is so important.
And is this admin working/jockeying to get us in position when the time comes for realignment? No. No, they arent/wont.
They'll wait for announcement to start. Always reactive. Never proactive. Get comfortable. We arent going anywhere.
When the final shake up happens, we'll be relegated to irrelevance once again.

This puts things in perspective. Going west is definitely less eyes on the product.

Can you explain the great press that loser school gets.

Proactive mode is winning out over winning.

The whole idea that the PAC is a good move is mind boggling to me. They are toast.....

We have 27 pages of posts on the pac 12, how many posts do you think any school in pac 12 has on the sunbelt, that should count for something in the eyes of the realignment gods

This is not a current suggestion but if Louisiana had gone independent 10 years ago there would have been many many discussions elsewhere throughout all the conference changes about Louisiana becoming a member. Big 12, ACC and otherwise.

Not that it would have led to an invite without proactive administartion advertising, but there would have been many many discussions across the country.

Now mentions can only happen if the administration bangs the drums real hard.
