Their argument is that we want LSU to be able to compete in the no income tax space that Texas and Florida can for athletes.
Which I guess THEORETICALLY would mean us, Tech, etc also having that leg up potentially on our conference peers who will tax that income, but I don’t care. College athletes, especially football and men’s basketball, are already given more resources and the like than your regular college student working nights at Pizza Village or Rouse’s trying to make money for rent. And yet their earnings would still be subject to state taxation?
