Angelique Berrat picked up a pair of wins for the Louisiana women's tennis team on Sunday, however, it wasn't enough as the short-handed Cajuns fell to James Madison, 4-1.
Berrat teamed with Jenaila Prulla for a 7-6 (7-4) win in doubles after trailing 4-1 early in the match. On court two, Nina Krecklenberg and Ana Martinez Vaquero also rallied from an early deficit to force a tiebreaker. Needing to win to clinch the point, the Dukes came out on top 7-6 (7-5).
The Cajuns got on the board thanks to Berrat's 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) win on court one. Prulla was locked in a close match, 7-5, 1-2, as was Martinez Vaquero, 4-6, 4-5, but the visitors took the matches on four and five. No match was played on court six due to injuries.
Louisiana heads to Troy next Saturday for their final road contest of 2025.
