Thread: Coastal Carolina Giving Away Concessions

Support Coastal Carolina Giving Away Concessions

Say what you want to about the Covid Chickens, but they are trying hard to build a fan base and attempting to do so through peoples stomach.

In the mean time, UL is not helping to increase its fan base by selling $5 bottles of water, $8 bags of stale popcorn, $10 hot dogs, etc.

We need to think outside of the box!

UL definitely needs to have value options for fans! Popcorn , hot dogs and fountain drinks should be break even or very small profit offerings. CC offering some of those basic value items free is a new way of thinking and definitely should help get more fans in the stadium.

Prediction: We do one $1 hotdog and $1 beer night against someone like Georgia Southern, we still get 400 fans in the stands and the school deems it a failure and never tries it again

That's because nobody wants to see us play GA Southern.

Apparently nobody wants to see us play LA Tech either -- in baseball or softball.

2019-20 season was when most of the concession items were reduced. “Fan friendly concessions “

Covid the next season put an end to it and it has not returned (and neither has good attendance for that matter)https://ragincajuns.com/news/2019/6/...es-for-2019-20

Can someone confirm that the Natty Lights have gone up to $4 for baseball games?

$5 lol. I'm not sure how it went from a fan favorite to expiring in the coolers.

So if I understand, they are making a concession on concessions?

    They concede the conceit.

This AD gets it...This is not for moneymaking,” said Miller, who arrived in Conway, S.C., last summer after 11 years at South Carolina — the last five as deputy AD. “We’re trying to build our fanbase here. I’m trying to pack the stadium to have an electric environment.”
