    I sometimes feel like sports drops the ball on teaching self discipline and self control.

    Some sports teach players to lie, cheat and try to get away with stuff without getting caught.

    An over generalization for sure.

    Thankfully the vast majority do learn the skills needed to function in society.

    The one (Hud defended) that eventually led to his dismissal.

    I remember him. A 3 star edge rusher recruited by Hudspeth. He was beginning to emerge. He had a big sack at the end of one of the games that sealed the victory. I think he left when Napier was hired. I remember him as being well mannered and respectful when we fed the team. You never know when the effects of a troubled childhood will manifest. He says he is innocent. He was stabbed 15 times while waiting in jail for trial.

    now that makes all the difference.
