I called him a A hole after he gutted our program and still call him that today! We lost 3/4 of our starters and 12 players total. IMO, he should have coached that no. 1 class rather than jumping ship. Also, he signed with TT on June 20th. Our regional ended on May 19th. Why didn't he leave sooner? He was out looking for a new job while still being paid by UL. CAH was hired on June 25th. So we were rudderless for 2 months because of that fine fella. Bless his heart!
To be fair, I don't think he was actively seeking a job. He told Kevin Foote the week before he was named TTU HC that he was gearing up for the following season. Foote said on his show that Glasco always shot him straight. I think it was a situation that came up, he entertained the position, thought it over, and decided it was right for him, and all that happened in a week span. I cant fault the man for doing what he thought was best for him and his career.

I dont think he received much of a raise, but a job is more than your salary. I think its been established he was enticed by some hefty NIL promises, which appeared to have panned out (see NiJaree Canady)

Why did he apply at Auburn before Texas Tech if he wasn't actively seeking another job? All coaches lie at some point. Of course he would try to save face and look good on his way out.

I heard he was actively trying to get the Auburn job, well before TT signing.

You probably teased that info without actually giving it

Regardless of that, can’t fault a man for wanting more resources

I can fault a man for gutting a program that gave him his first HC job when he was 59 years old! Not staying with the no. 1 recruiting class when they were seniors...yeah, I can fault him.

    We can agree to disagree.

Life goes on. I think we are in a temporary dip. Give Habetz time and we will forget about 2025 in a few years.

Regardless of the resources he was set up for a possible wcws run in 2025 at UL.

I have learned to understand both sides of this issue. If an SEC or Big 12 job opens, most of the time, would be crazy not to try and get it.

Loyalty has no presence in D1 college or professional athletics now. It’s a business, and unfortunately have to look at most coaches and players as transactional.

This summer’s transfer portal and Coach Habetz’s success or lack of in it will tell a lot about the program’s future stability.

If she keeps the train rolling and can keep the program as a consistent super regional/WCWS threat in this new environment, will arguably be the best job any coach has ever done at this school.

    Same goes for baseball.

Felt the same thing from the beginning.
