I'm confused. The article says the fire station is planned for the east side of CajunDome Blvd, and the map suggests it will be before the coulee passes underneath, so on the side opposite from the coulee.

Do you know the actual location?

Article has a map. Looks like it would be in between Cajundome boulevard and the barns.

If you are Cajundome Blvd heading away from Johnston Street. Look to your right as you cross the coulee.

Back in 60s Wayne Wallace who was Engr Dean and soils expert along with Jim Reeves foundation and concrete guy worked on a small building used as a convenience store which had serious foundation issues. It was located not far from the present site of fire station. Turned out that area was site of very old garbage dump.
    Very nice memory!

I "remember" Dr. Wallace as Dean of Engr when I started and Dr. Reeves was head of CIVE when I finished, or something like that!

You are correct. Dr. Reeves taught me in Civil before he was a PhD. In fact Dr. Walllace was our only PhD and he was Dean. Few changes today.

It looks to be on Blackham Coliseum property footprint, along Cajundome Blvd., adjacent to the coulee.
