I’m not even sure the athletics department can comment on commitments before they sign so that is my guess as to why you are seeing non professional graphics being released. Once they sign on signing day athletics releases the good stuff. I could be wrong.
There are ways around that. Athletic department can give them a contact to a non-affiliated person that could do it. I'm sure there are students in the marketing department that would volunteer.
No it does not but I have zero faith in athletics department when it comes to anything Marketing. Even worse now that athletes that commit to us have to do this on their own. We have to do better than that.
In today's world with social media and photo editing that this should even be a conversation. Just recently a local high school was editing and posting photos of their athletes as they placed in the high school wrestling tournament. This was happening minutes after a match was complete. If they can do that, why cant our athletic department put out professional posts on behalf of athletes committing to our program?
I don't know. I've seen ads on Face Book and other places that Athletic Marketing puts out and they are first rate.

The young ladies pushing out graphics/video for UL athletics on social media do a great job. These commitment graphics are being done by people who may or may not have any experience in professional graphic design.
