I don't think it was "proven" inferior so much as once people figured out the math on it, they were able to manipulate their team's RPI without having to play really good teams.
RPI experts say that the 3 level RPI does not go deep enough to be really accurate in measuring the true ability of teams, and that no method of manipulating the way those three levels affect RPI helps that issue.
Hence, the gurus in the NCAA came up with the NET, which is allegedly more accurate; which in my opinion means it is more favorable to power conference teams than is RPI.
Well the Double Eagle baws are getting themselves another $4 Billion come April 1, so Glasco will have a few more Ben Franklins to work with.

A burned down house doesn't imply a bad record the next year. That's not a given. It depends on the circumstances, which is what JMV gave you. This is why no one takes you seriously here. You're a troll.....just not a very good one. Must get tiring constantly moving those goal posts.
In my stint in the oilfield, my division covered Haynesville Shale, and were mostly under Chesapeake. Occasionally, some of my guys would be sent to other divisions to help out. First time I sent my guys out there to west Texas, I went with them to make sure everything went smoothly...(babysitting grown men is a full time job). Anyway, that first job was a diamondback location in the middle of nowhere of course. I couldn't believe the complete lack of any safety regulations whatsoever. It was shocking. Dudes in sleeveless t-shirts. Apparently hard hats or any other PPE was optional. The first night I went out there, was going check some tanks and could smell acid really strong. As I rounded a corner I looked up just in time to see an acid tank spraying a stream of acid out about 4 feet! The sand surrounding it was yellow. Looks like it had been doing that for quite some time. Quickly went report it only for the Company man to tell me, "yeah, it started doing that yesterday. It's almost empty anyway, and someone's coming swap them out tomorrow morning." LoL! I said, "man, I nearly walked right through a stream of acid...something needs to be done." He said, there's no tape up or barriers around it?" " I told that retard to put up some tape or barriers around it!" Just tell your guys to steer clear til it's swapped out tomorrow."
Unreal.
Yeah…last year worked within a situation where a larger publicly traded company had acquired a much smaller, privately backed on, and integration of the smaller company’s field employments into the HSE standards of the larger one was quite interesting to say the least.
Like you said, no FRCs/PPEs required. Everyone driving around with guns in the vehicles out on location…suddenly having to come into compliance with the rules of the larger company’s.
