But doesn’t Learfield control the media rights to UL athletics? Therein may be the issue of getting UL interviews…direct competition.

Keep doing what works for the pod. Eventually minds will change, step away from confrontation with UL. Don’t need that mucking up the waters when the right time comes. The chance will come one day, just have faith and patience.
Learfield does not control access to coaches. UL Communications grants or denies access.

But you are correct that the Learfield reps in Lafayette actively politic against RR. A quick Google search will provide the names of those individuals.

Are Learfield reps the same as Learfield employees?

Could speaking to the players be done with NIL$? No restrictions i believe was in SCOTUS ruling

Maybe they dont ask for permission?

    Shouldn't have to.

Lack of self promotion has contributed to the 14-year death knell spiral basketball has experienced.

We absolutely ask for permission. And the communications folks at the other universities have been more than accomodating.

We would never have gotten one interview without them. They're who we start with.

Who is the person that one would have to email to rant to them on how they do a bad job in not letting RR talk to our own players/coaches?

    Brian Bille
    Jay Walker
    Bryan Maggard
    Matt Sullivan
    Duane Bailey
    T-Joe Savoie

That would be a good start. But I’m done defending RR. We’ve been pumping out content since 2018, 99% of which is valuable, positive and revenue generating for Louisiana Athletics.

It has become clear to anyone paying attention, we’re not the problem in this scenario. Petty people in positions of influence within the administration at this university are the problem.

That said, we’ve grown by leaps in bounds in spite of their efforts to blackball RR. Every communication department in the country seemingly sees our value except the one in Lafayette. Speaks volumes.

You know how this works. There is only one voice that has an opinion and everyone else is wrong.

We start with communications folks. They are the ones who speak with the coach and confirm interest. The only time we have an actual conversation with the coach is when they show up. Otherwise, it’s all through their comms team.

If going on podcast without clearance from admin via the comms team is grounds for dismissal, then why wasnt a certain hoops...nah nevermind
