Keep posting, Fun! Not sure why anyone who is a Louisiana fan would not want to read what you post, but I guess there are some who do not see a connection between athletics and academics at the state's best university. Let them change the channel, so to speak.

There are 10 non sports related threads on the first 3 pages of RP. I don't care if he posts or not, and I'm all for non-sports UL PR information. Just not on a sports talk board. There are other pages on RP that are more suited to this info.

I would encourage you to look more than 3 pages back, because I believe you will find including academics, alumni, and general topics, is not new to the Rage Page. Over the 20+ year history of Ragin' Pagin', non-sports topics have been constantly included here. In fact, a lot of those non-sports threads were started by Jon himself.

Your comment about 'other pages' appears to have inverted the situation. There are a number of pages devoted to sports. Jon, and so many of us who support his efforts, have grown this website and the Rage Page to promote, not just Ragin' Cajun athletics, not just the University of Louisiana, but Lafayette, Acadiana, and all of Louisiana.

There are plenty of schools, in Louisiana and across the country, that assume that athletics is a sufficient excuse for having a college.

Many of us here, however, would prefer a well-rounded University, one that is intimately involved in the well-being of the students, the alumni, the community and the state.

Seems if not a majority of student athletes are education majors, at least a majority that actually graduate and work in the field they studied are likely education majors.

I appreciate all UL related stuff posted here. The post a few days ago about the new Engineering/STEM programs was something I would not have known about if not for RP.

Personal opinion: anything UL related (academic or athletic) I don’t mind seeing here. I understand if people want to discuss non-UL topics on occasion. Putting “OT” in the title lets people know it’s a non-UL related thread.
