Never assume ball four and head to first. Biggest thing that ticks me off, don’t even attempt to do the ump’s job. They remember.
Game over.
Back up to a 6 run lead for Marshall, 10-4.
Very very fact the announcers are discussing the possibility of the Cajuns being run ruled says it all.
When was the last time UL was run ruled in league play?
We knew it was probably going to end this year. Didn’t think it would be like this to an average Marshall team. The first conference series with a new regime.
The scary thing is that the Cajuns continue to show their gaps in talent and/or consistency.
Certainly a foreign version is softball for this fan base.
UL softball fans will look back at the streak like UL MBB fans look back at the 70s-80s. Cajuns could pull this series out, but the better teams won’t commit the errors Marshall has this weekend (4 in each of the first 2 games). Also, Marshall’s RPI was 141 earlier this week.
In the NIL age, I don’t expect this NCAA record will be broken by anyone.
This season is an anomaly only if next season the Cajuns bounce back.
