A medical school at UL would be ideal for making an impact in filling a national shortage of doctors. The data shows we need more primary care physicians, especially in rural areas. You would hope state leaders would put the health of people ahead of politics.

It is the same, which came first the chicken or egg story. Do we concern our self more with creating better academics leading to athletics or using the athletic funding to increase the overall academic funding. After visiting Texas A&M area for track we should follow whatever they did because they have a surplus of facilities, money and a great athletic atmosphere.
