Hope UL doesn’t have a grant like this. Talk about bring a figurative microscope to your research.

It is the same, which came first the chicken or egg story. Do we concern our self more with creating better academics leading to athletics or using the athletic funding to increase the overall academic funding. After visiting Texas A&M area for track we should follow whatever they did because they have a surplus of facilities, money and a great athletic atmosphere.
Like TA&M, UL used to have a bonfire tradition, but it never got so audacious that anyone died.
Thinking of Ambassador Caffery (the person) Athletics is the surest path to academic donations.
Bonfire was in Caffery parking lot. Fairly tame. Dean of Men Glenn Abel led it along with football team and coaches. Coeds were actually allowed on our end of campus. Fun.
A law school would serve us better.
