I’ve searched for documentation of the party school rankings, yet to find for that era.

The very sad part, students from TSAB came to Lafayette to party back then.
    Yep, streets blocked!

In a round about way, I met my wife because of The Keg's legend and success. Ken Guilbeau, owned The Keg along with The Landing and Gentry's...in the mid to late 70s he was printing money...With that success, KEG got into the Arabian Horse breeding business, highly successful and world class was his breeding program. My wife to be was one of the girls on the team at Keg Arabians...met her at The Landing by chance...after the farms bankruptcy, I got my wife and a very well bred Arabian gelding...

At orientation in the summer of 1974, Dean Blanco brought it up during his talk. He said that shouldn't be why you were there, and then gave directions to the strip.

You don't forget first year, stuff like that.

The book Confederacy of Dunces mentions it.

Blanco was also famous for telling the guys in the men's dorms across from girard Park "if you going to do dope go across the street to the park".. That way his lazy butt didn't have to deal with it because if they got arrested it wasn't on school property. Blanco instrumental guy that got Baldwin as coach.

Nitecaps had one hell of a shot menu. It was probably my favorite bar on the strip. Lots of us who worked in the restaurants went there after work.

Nitecaps opened up a "shot station" against the same wall as the entry door. It was a vending machine where some hot chick would stand behind this piece of plywood and was for shots only. Don't think I've ever seen that anywhere else.

It was also where you heard "I need a miracle", "Castles in the sky, Zombie Nation and "The Launch" every night.

Initiate at the Pub, head down to Nitecaps.
