In 75, 76 or 77, the Keg was honored by selling the most Budweiser in the country. They gave away Bud draft for a long time. For some reason, I believe it was 36 hours, free beer. Crazy!

Anyone remember the pep rally at the Keg with the band and cheerleaders on the roof? I believe Budweiser made a commercial using that and promoted the Keg as the leader in beer sold in the country? $.25 for a 10 ounce cup of Bud. A lot of memories - the Keg, the Library (forgot how it was spelled) and the Roof Garden. Wasn't USL back then named the #1 Party School in the country?

Was there. Was drunk. Streets blocked off.

I’ve searched for documentation of the party school rankings, yet to find for that era.

The very sad part, students from TSAB came to Lafayette to party back then.

I believe USL was ranked the #1 party school in America by Playboy Magazine sometime in the early to mid 70’s.

    Playboy magazine was correct.

We would always end the night at Nitecaps. Rule the pool table for a while (I always played better drunk), then dance with the Goth chicks.
