Kevin Foote had Coach Deggs on this morning at 9:05. Apparently this will be a weekly occurrence throughout the season on 103.7 FM. Billy Ryckman will have Anthony Babineaux on 1420 AM/103.3 every Wednesday morning at 11 throughout the season. I imagine once basketball ends, Jay Walker will have both diamond coaches regularly on the Louisiana Athletics Live show Monday evenings.

I presume that is due to Billy having press credentials.

If press credentials is the only reason Ragin Review can’t interview UL coaches, that is an insane reason! The University may not like some of their “opinions”, but every interview that they have done with others (that I have listened to) has been done very well And in a respectful manner. There is no reason for UL not to take advantage of as much publicity as possible. Our local media coverage has been reduced to almost nothing anyway. A blind squirrel should always be looking for any nut it can find!

I am pretty sure the press credentials issue is why Ragin Review cannot interview our coaches. They have their reasons for not applying for credentials.

In my case after seven years with no complaints from Rheinhart Drive, my Louisiana Athletics credentials were yanked because RP not traditional media and allowed comments.

Now, non traditional media is their number one way of getting word out.

Currently they are picking and choosing which non traditional media is acceptable.

Someday they will find a balance.

They can interview opposing head and assistant coaches but can’t interview their own. Make it make sense lol.
