That was FAST!
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - After one night of the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships, the Louisiana track and field team is in contention on the men's and women's side for the championship. The men are second overall with 31 points while the women are fifth with 21. Arkansas State leads on both sides with the men posting 57 points and the women 29.
A-State has dominated the sbc in T&F for the last, what seems like a decade in both men’s and women’s T&F.
The state of Arkansas has been a Track & Field recruiting magnet for many many decades.
A-State benefited from Arkansas' long time dominance in T&F.
Louisiana Track & Field alum John McDonnell put Arkansas (the school) and Arkansas (the State) on the T&F map and retired almost two decades ago.
Nice! Congrats Lawson!
Absolutely a great accomplishment! It was also great to see it.
GEAUX LAWSON, GEAUX CAJUNS!
With three events left, Cajun men are leading Arkansas State by 6 points. ULM and USM are a distant third and fourth.
Women are tied for fourth with 4 events left.
