    D. Williams just left early again. Not even close. This had to get fixed in a hurry!

I guarantee it will be a point of emphasis this week in practice.

Just watched the video clip of the hit. The Houston pitcher was so close to gloving that ball. Credeur got just enough of it.

Has the team indicated when the two Fr outfielders are expected to be cleared to play? Thought someone previously mentioned they are injured.

Hopefully soon. We have a ton of kids banged up. With Stutes hot bat she could be in RF for a while.

As of today, Ryan is 2nd in the SBC in ERA at 1.31, T6th in wins with 3, T9th in Runs allowed and 1st in Earned Runs allowed. She is doing exactly what she needs to do; eating innings and stacking wins against lower level competition [though she DID pitch 3.2 innings against Texas, giving up only 1 earned run].

Speaking of SBC, Coastal Carolina had a weekend, sweeping through a tournament at Georgia Tech.

Beat Kentucky and got two wins over GT. They are off to a nice start.

No confusion required: ERA is Earned Runs allowed per 7 innings pitched. Earned Runs Allowed is the actual total number. So 5 earned Runs Allowed by a pitcher who has pitched 7 innings is 5.000. A pitcher who has pitched 35 innings while allowing 5 earned runs has an ERA of 1.00.

I'm confused by her being 2nd in the SBC in ERA and still being 1st in ERA.

    Did you mean the team?

No. She is first in Earned Runs Allowed [3]
She is second in Earned Run Average [1.31]

    Just for gits and shiggles:

Total ERA for pitchers vs Texas = 8.56
Ryan ERA vs Texas = 1.91

Total WHIP for pitchers vs Texas = 2.56
Ryan WHIP vs Texas = 1.09
