Coach Z is now 3 and 0 vs opponents played previously, all on the road He has won at ULM, Texas State, and now Troy. The adjustments made vs Texas State and Troy have been impressive considering first games were not very competitive. I wonder if this type of effort continuing will cause Coach Z to get true consideration for the job permanently. He is putting his heart and soul into having his team properly prepared for every game. I know that possibility will cause angst amongst some. However you can’t deny the man is giving it his all.

I'd have no problem with him being our next HC. He's a veteran of the game, was a stud player in the SEC, played pro ball and has good experience coaching in college. Also, the team is playing hard for him and that's saying something considering what happened this season along with the poor fan support. I know hiring him won't automatically increase fan interest or attendance, but I do know some folks that will come back just because BM is no longer our coach. Hiring him would also help to keep players from leaving. Not sure if he's considered a good recruiter, but if he is....this would seem to be the safer and least costly path to take. Yeah, I'd love to bring in a name coach and generate some buzz for the program, but don't see that happening given our current financial situation.

Thanks for the link guys. I watched the first half and some of the second when they started falling behind. Started to make supper and when I checked back they had clawed back within a basket. Wanted to watch the ending but didn't wanna jinx it. I'm not overly superstitious but I'm a little stitious.

Coach Z was lead guy on signing Jeremiah Evans. He did not score last night but protected rim well and was tougher on boards than earlier in season. CoAch Z was also lead guy in bringing aboard the point guard we signed in the early November period. I can’t recall his name and don’t know what type of season he is having. Still, he is more likely to come if Coach Z is retained.

I think Evans only played 11 minutes last night. Can't understand why he doesn't play more.

Most of those minutes for Evans were in second half when we made a run.

He’s still adjusting to the speed and size of the college game. He’s used to being the biggest guy on the floor which obviously isn’t the case anymore. He gets handled a lot by other teams bigs. Once he puts some weight on and gets stronger/better conditioned he will be a big problem.
