If you are talking about media coverage I agree. Besides signing prospects winning would do the same thing.

Right on oldman. KPEL claims they are the home of UL sports but they have a show dedicated to LSPOO on Wednesday nights. I don't #@$$# get it!

Brock, he can showcase his talents here as well as anywhere else. I think the fellows we have, and have had, in the NFL attest to that. Granted he may get more exposure with one of the BCSers, but the scouts have good noses for talent. If Doucet is a good talent he will be selected to play on Sundays, no matter where he goes to school. But our chances of getting him here at UL is slim to none, because of the Oklahomas, USC,etc.

    brockmeaux,

Brian Mitchell - getting ready to break Jerry Rice's record
    Orlando Thomas
Brian Stokely - part of world champion team
Jake Delhomme - QB for one of the best teams in the league
Charles Tilman - 2nd rd, first La college draft pick last season

NFL do look at the big schools but they look at players on all school teams!

Brian Mitchell #1 leads by 111 yards.

Nothing hones talent like playing 4 years of college at UL.

I agree that NFL talent can come here and be found here. Look at Fred Stamps. He's going to be playing on Sundays real soon.

And trust me, I didn't mean what I said as an insult to the school, but for the time being, we're not going to garner the interest of many blue chippers. Now, with solid recruiting classes for the next couple years, winning records, dominating the Sun Belt for a few seasons and possibly moving to a bigger conference down the road, it's definetly possible that a guy like Early Doucet could wind up here. But at present time, we're going to have to find gems instead of established stars. Anyway, isn't it more fufilling to find that guy that nobody wanted but turns into a superstar?! I know it is for me.

first of all my point was, not to ask him at all, let the kid say it if he wants to, and there is no sacrifice made coming to UL, or maybe you haven't heard of the guys who are in the pros, and we are not a what you call a border line AA, for your info we've never been AA, always was and always will be 1A.
