Le Festival Du' Bon Temps a Broussard is underway at Broussard Commons on Albertson Pkwy. The event runs until 11pm Friday night, then from 11am-11pm Saturday. The festival includes local bands arts and crafts and cajun and creole dishes.
Terry and the Zydeco Bad Boys headline this Friday's Music and Market in Opelousas. The outdoor concert series also has free ice cream samples and runs until 8:30pm.
If you're in the Franklin area, swing by the Bayou Teche Black Bear and Birding Festival. The event runs through Sunday with music, food and educational exhibits.
Another fun and learning experience will be held at Vermilionville on Sunday for the Lafayette Earth Day Family Festival. The event features boat tours, fishing rodeos and great food.
Don't forget, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is in town. The circus has performances Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 11am and 3pm, and Sunday at 1pm. Anyone with a ticket is invited an hour early to meet the animals and entertainers at the Cajundome.
And folks craving Cajun cuisine can head out to the Etoufee Festival in Arnaudville. There will be arts and crafts, music and of course, plenty of food.
