I expect the defensive stats to get better for UL. The Sam Houston game did not help matters. I will say the OF defense needs to be better, though a healthy team will hopefully improve it.

With that said, my time in the Sun Belt taught me to expect some “interesting” scoring during the winter-spring sport overlap.

At this time of the year, SID offices are spread very thin, and they are frequently breaking in new people to score games. Conf-only stats, to me, are a better comparison measure. We’ll see.

Thanks for gathering all of that. The fielding percentage, number of walks and lack of HR was expected, but honestly didn't expect the other offensive stats to be that good with 2 shut outs already.
