A good way to vent, but Sodexo is entrenched in Lafayette. Any doubt, who do you think has the OLOL/W&C/Heart hospitals food contract? Sure they have a few other biggies out there.

Always follow the money. It’s the way of the world.

FWIW, I’ve had lunch twice in the stadium club, the food was good.

This week the junior Beta Convention is going on at the Cajun Dome. The cost of concessions is an issue and this year they are not allowing deliveries from outside. This makes it unaffordable for many young people who will be there all day.

Sodexo can provide really good food. They’ve done a super job at TJoes events as well as hospitality events on campus. But, at a price. UL set the terms of the contract and I can’t fault Sodexo for following it to their advantage. If we and the admin want change, it’s in the new contract. Not Athletics fault. It’s what UL and the state agreed to. Remember, this is not just a UL contract. It’s a state contract that serves UL.
The custodial contract is a whole other matter. Just sad services.

Dang. 57-0 on that poll. I haven't ever seen this much agreement on Ragin' Pagin. This should be eye opening for some decision makers. Their killing the gameday experience. No "COLD BEER" man roaming the stands. Natty lights more than double in price.

Edit: And no 50-50. Been a while... but I've donated significant money on that one... and only won a few hundred one time.

All I’m saying is Sodexo provides what UL asked for in state contract. I’m not saying we shouldn’t have nice things. It’s just what we contracted for. All for a new contract.

Maybe in addition to Sodexo, we could have Judice Inn, Old Tyme Grocery, and Pizza Village bring in pre made food like Deano’s use to do. Make it very lucrative for them. I’d kill to get an Old Tyme shrimp Po Boy at the game.

UL is about UL making money...buy low, sale high. Profit is king. It's becoming evident that this group that's running things could give a rats ass about fan enjoyment and engagement...it's all about the $$$ and less about fans...another premium perk of UL athletics

You just hit the nail on the head!

We will never increase our fanbase or grow as long as that attitude persists.

Attendance will continue to dwindle until the entire mindset is changed.

This is not hard to figure out! People go to have a good time. It's the same with tailgating.

Part of that is food. Lafayette has more restaurants per capita than any other city in the nation.

What is the first thing you discuss with your spouse or friend if you were going to do something?

    Where to eat!

Let's get it together, people! For a person to think that food or tailgating is not important, especially at a sporting event, then they probably do not come from South Louisiana.

Yup. Just took one person to point it out to the administration.

I miss the extra income, hit it 3 times in about a 4 year span.

This right here. My daughter went last year, and most of the parents of her classmates that don't follow UL were shocked at the high price and poor quality of the food available at the Cajundome. Very negative publicity for us.
