An officer with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office was wearing a shirt that had “Strike Hard, Strike Fast” written on it Friday morning before authorities began their predawn roundup of narcotics suspects. And that’s precisely what they did.
Agents with the Acadia Parish Narcotic Strike forced assisted by members of the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole, Church Point Police Department and Iota Police Department began arresting defendants from the Crowley and Church Point area around 4 a.m. Friday morning.
According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon, 14 narcotic warrants were issued on 11 defendants and bonds ranged from $20,000 to $65,000.
