Jay, appreciate your explanation of the 2 first bases and Google's also, but wouldn't that give a speedy base steeler even more of an advantage?

I don't think so. Distance is the same. First base hasn't moved. But I'm no expert on things like that. What is really good about the new rule is I think you're going to see fewer calls about running inside the line going to first.

At least I hope so.

Last night we had a Really Good pitcher and San Jose St made some real costly errors. And I believe they out hit us. Today could be a different scenario. We may have to hit better to win.
