Troy walked constantly on driving the basket and they would not call it.

Keith Gill was hired to make us a better basketball conference. We have gotten worse every year in the play on the court and SBC Officiating has gotten worse just went we thought it couldn't get any worse.
Not why we lost, but it was terrible officiating. Troy would agree.

Has Keith Gill given up on basketball like UL did for 15 years under Marlin Mediocrity?

Jay, do you know the reasoning behind scheduling Wed games? Feel like I’m seeing a few more around the league even when not televised.

Know the main point of Thurs/Sat league play is travel $$ saved, but getting better officials for the weekday game was/is a good byproduct.

Have to agree with everyone on the officiating. That was one of the worst officiated basketball games I have ever seen and I have seen many, many games. Complete clown show, the Sun Belt should be embarrassed with that crew's performance. Even with that, Troy was the better team and took advantage of the physical play that was allowed.

And, everyone knew Troy's ability to ORB would put the Cajuns at a big disadvantage.

The officiating was deplorable. Not only from a calling fouls (or not) standpoint. Their lack of consistency was appalling. And, so was their clock management. They put :20 on the shot clock after a turnover. (with a signal) which should have been :30.

And, they called a media timeout at the eight minute mark. I took a commercial break and then they decided it wasn't a media time out. I missed a couple of Mo's free throws. THEN, after we scored, Z called time out with less than eight to go. That's an automatic media time out. But the Crew Chief called it a :30. And it took for a lot of people yelling media (and the media coordinator who was standing at the scorers table giving the signal before he finally got it right. That's the closest I've ever come to getting a technical foul called on me.
We did hustle on defense, just not to the same level that I saw from Troy. They were relentless, especially with the full court press that caused multiple TO's. The refs allowing for the physicality played right into their hands and gave them a distinct advantage defensively.

I caught some of radio broadcasts. Dawson added a nice touch. It would be nice to have both guys on every broadcast. I know finances and schedules make it tough for that to occur

If the visiting team has to travel over a certain number of miles for their Saturday game, they get an extra travel day.
