UL baseball staff has interesting decisions between surging veterans, talented freshman

If UL baseball coach Matt Deggs had to fill out a batting order today, he would have a good idea of what to do.

“Right now where we’re at, if we had a game tomorrow, we’d probably run these old kids out there, but nothing is sewed up,” said Deggs, whose Ragin’ Cajuns are working toward a 6 p.m. Feb. 14 season opener against San Jose State. “There’s a lot of talent underneath that is pushing to the top.”
