UL Softball disrespected? Bulletin Board Material?

My good friend Justin Mcleod the softball editor at D1 Softball has given his predicted order of finish for the 2025 Softball season. Thoughts?

2. James Madison
3. Troy
4. Louisiana
5. South Alabama
6. Louisiana-Monroe
7. Coastal Carolina
8. Georgia Southern
9. Marshall
10. Southern Mississippi
11. Appalachian State
12. Georgia State

I talked to Justin last night and he also expects the SBC to be a one bid league this season.

Not too surprising. New head coach, ravaged roster due to players portaling out.

Not too unlike Glasco's first year here, though without the theatrics of the outgoing coach and lawsuits.

If the SBC is a one bid league, it will be UL. If we finish 4th it will not be a one bid league. That being said, I agree that we may have to win the conference tournament to get in.

We will not finish 4th. We need to be competitive in our OOC games and we need to win some those games. I think the league will be a 2 bid leagie.

Im expecting a 3 bid League with Louisiana 1st or 2nd. seems each sports media has to come to their own realization that all these teams are having major roster changes and team chemistry will be challenged all over the country. outside the top 15 or so, lots of inconsistent play will happen. Feels like its only being seen as a one way street at the moment. The Sun Belt will be fine. Texas State and JMU will hold their own as they should.

There definitely seemed to be an attempt to rile up a sb fan base for clicks/views. He’s very knowledgeable, works hard but also has a site to grow.

I don’t expect UL to be its usual self this year, but if we finish 4th in the league (if we stay reasonably healthy), I’m sure the coaches will be less than pleased.

The expectation is to finish first. Remember the standard is the standard.
