Bulletin board material is
good for one game at best. Hopefully.
Bulletin board stuff never helped a season.

I will be shocked if we finish 4th and more shocked if the SBC is a 1 bid league this year.
Ordinarily, I would agree. But when you are part of a program that has a tradition of sustained excellence that has stretched across decades, and suddenly you are disrespected at this level before the season begins, it’s easy to use this as a season long bulletin! I like our chances with this leadership! I would start every practice/game with 4th place predictions and it would be posted on every wall and would be mentioned every waking hour of the season what other people thought of us!
If that's what it takes to focus on fundamentals, go for it.
I just feel that when the bulletin board material is not from the team you are facing next... its imact is lost.
I feel Jerry left because he saw the writing on the wall and that UL CAN’T compete at a consistent top25 level in softball anymore due to the transfer portal and NIL…. NIL and the Portal have made it nearly impossible to build a program at the non SEC/BIG Ten level…. Let’s make it clear that the SEC and Big Ten are head and shoulders above every conference when it comes to money…. In the end money will win you championships and build a winning program… WE DON’T HAVE IT… harsh reality is that this program will need to really focus on recruiting players who can dominate in this conference and then hope for the best at the national level…. The Glory days of UL softball empire are coming to the end unless NIL and Portal rules change. I hope I am wrong but the trend in college athletics is showing otherwise.
As long as roster limits remain, Louisiana has the oppotunity to improve its roster EVEN with Texas Tech type money being spent elsewhere.
Straw size recruiting works in Louisiana's favor.
