It's not even about that. I am going to parrot what you are saying, lol.

In our microcosm that we call Lafayette, Louisiana, yes, we are known as UL. The problem comes when you go anywhere else; it is Louisiana-Lafayette or ULL. Part of the reason is that for 15-20 years, the media used that. Only in the past 6 years or so has it started to change.

The bigger issue is our logos. All our logos have "Ragin' Cajuns" or "Cajuns."

How many, except for fans, see "Louisiana" on the front of the jersey? I would actually have to watch a game to know that it exists.

A logo is shown everywhere. So if all our logos just emphasize "Cajuns," then that is all people know. They never think about what our name is.

Not unless I see a logo that says "Louisiana." Even then, it would take a long time to change that perception.

The Portal is closed to enter now; the exception is for Graduate students. But they can sign from the Portal, but school began this week so it's highly likely they would not be enrolled until later.

I know they are looking at JC LB's, DE/OLB and several other positions.
