Will we even make the SBC tournament?

I think everybody gets in to the tournament.

For those in the Dome last night, on commercial breaks coming to an end and the + putting up graphics talking about future opponents, etc., in the background, the Drone was flying around the Dome with what looked like a 1080p video feed. Talk about looked sharp. I remember thinking way back in the day that something like that was only possible if the Goodyear blimp showed up.

Everyone is in the tournament, as it’s been for years. Need to win a few more to avoid Tuesday games. Team isn’t probably deep enough to run the tournament table.

Am sure if going thru the trouble of a national search, Zim is building his resume’ for a job elsewhere.

Simply because some believe ULM should NEVER have the advantage over us in any category.

With the limited talent on this team, you could very well be right on the total win prediction. Guys on teams that struggle who keep a positive attitude and focus have loads of respect from me. It is easy to do so when things are going well and issues are glossed over while winning. It is easy for us relatively non athletic fans to criticize or make fun of these athletes in the situation our MBB’s team finds themselves in. When I start thinking that way, I try to put themselves in their shoes.

I mean absolutely zero disrespect to the players, but we are just not talented enough to compete. Tenacity, grit and a little bit of skill can only take them so far.

Those of us old enough to remember in the mid 70’s Tara High School out of BR won only 4 regular season FB games (all district games) due to injuries. Everyone got well, they ran thru the playoffs to a state championship. And this was before the days of power rankings, you had to finish first or second in your district to make the playoffs.

It can happen in a 14 team tournament, but a lot of stars must align.

I think, in this case, the league loses $$ unless they got a really nice deal on the facility. This was done to make sure a low seed isn’t the league rep in the tournament.

League wants a high seed to win it. Coaches want every team in it to keep their team motivated (and keep their job). This was the middle ground.

Ironically, the so said reason for letting everyone in was because the bad teams (who knew they wouldn't make it) lost interest in the regular season.
