Ring the bell?
Ring the bell?
Heck yeah. Probably not too many opportunities left.
Looked at ESPN analytics for the rest of the season, at ULM and home to USM are the only 2 games left they like the Cajuns.
Would be shocked UL breaks out the NET 300+ club this year. But they haven’t just quit yet this season, so at least UL recruited men of character.
Really poor shooting from the field. Hit better % from the 3 vs. 2. FTs were our savior esp Wright at end. Four straight. And he had been struggling at the line. We just lack height. And the ability to shoot. And consistency. But, the kids have heart, they hustle on defense and Hosanna pushes them.
But we just about be listening a game that would have tanked us. ULMis not a good team.
ULM normally shoots a lot of threes. They shot over 30 and made 10 at USM. Not a surprise they would start the game that way. Zoom is correct in that they made adjustments as the game went on. People may be surprised to hear this but the Warhawks have big men more physical than the Cajuns. Shows how we are lacking in that regard. Now the Cajuns made adjustments as well. Warhawks played zone most of game which is why Cajuns shot a lot of threes. Late in game, ULM played more man to man and the Cajuns started attacking the basket more. When Cajuns were having trouble on the boards, Coach Z had Zeke Cook come into the game at the appropriate times and he came up with big rebounds. Also, a good move to foul the Warhawks when up 3 with a few seconds to go. That proved to be a great decision. Kentrell Garnett deserves credit for a great all around game. Had 15 points but more importantly 5 assists. He played a lot at point tonight due to Christian Wright being in foul trouble and Michael Thomas missing the game due to a concussion.
Trailing for much of the game and never leading by more than four points, the Louisiana men's basketball team pulled off a hard-fought win over in-state rival ULM, 71-68, on Saturday in the Cajundome.
Am I crazy to think Zimmerman is getting more out of his players than Marlin?
