I remember hearing about the new redshirt rule regarding the 4 games, regardless of how much is played in those games.
Is that a change or an addition. Is it an either or, with the old rule standards eligible as well, based on limited number of plays in the aggregate or just the new 4 games rule

Football players can participate in 4 regular season games and not lose their redshirt. That has been case for at least 4 years. They can play in as many post season games as their team earns and not lose a redshirt
