For those athletes in Grad School, with so many playing 6-7+ years these days....6 is a respectable sum.

Half our baseball team that stsrted at JC just added yet another free year or 2

Saying you have to play for a certain school to get a cettain company's money is a restriction,

If they are really in grad school, not just post degree extra undergrad classes

Athletes are on scholarships. We can set standards for student to maintain those scholarships. Same for any student. Hours, gpa. Don’t see how NIL should matter.

    Has he turned himself in?

If not, at what point do the police just go and get you?

Amen.... academic scholarships used to be (may still be) limited to 8 semesters, why are athletes allowed more, including summers

When your not a TSAB celebrity.

The perp walk is being avoided at all costs by TSAB, more than KL.

Well…it used to be that earning money as an NCAA athlete was scrutinized by the clearinghouse, or was supposed to be. So one could argue back in those days maybe the athlete could be on scholarship an extra semester or two if playing sports still, to aid in their graduation, as they weren’t (supposed to be) earning money during the season like other academic scholarship students could.

But now with NIL, that’s all out the window, and especially with universities now able to pay student athletes directly.

Seems to me your athletic scholarship should absolutely max out after 8 semesters, and use that NIL/university cash to pay for the rest.
